The Breathing Room’s Pilates program is grounded in the principles of Pilates. We focus on the breath, as it is the essential essence of all we do. However, each principle is integral to achieving the true focus of Pilates and a well developed session. All of our Pilates classes, whether classical or contemporary, incorporate these principles and  focus on accessing and understanding how each one is used to support and enhance your practice.

Pilates Power Fusion

Designed for those wanting a challenge this Level 2 class incorporates a variety of equipment, including reformers, towers, and wunda chairs, and more to enhance strength, flexibility, and coordination. Throughout the session, you can expect to build heat and engage your core while performing dynamic exercises that target all major muscle groups. Our experienced instructor will guide you through innovative movements, ensuring you receive personalized attention and modifications tailored to your needs.

Using various props, this class will get your body moving to improve your stability and strengthen your core. Using the breath as your guide for precise, intentional movement. Options will be offered for beginners and advanced students looking to challenge their practice.

Yoga Program

The Breathing Room’s yoga program is grounded in the breath, which serves as our connection to the air element and our access point to freedom. All of our yoga classes weave the element of air throughout as a conscious focus on accessing and understanding how the breath is used to support movement, awareness, and nourishment through the cycles of life. We use the intuitive understanding and qualities of the other three elements: water, fire, and earth to describe the movement aspect of our classes.

Earth GROUND SLOW + STEADY

This non-heated class is designed to align and calm in support of connecting body + mind + spirit. This balanced, grounding, strength-building Hatha inspired practice is spirit engaging, heart opening, and breath focused. Breath (pranayama), and meditation practices may supplement this nourishing practice. This All-levels class is great for Beginners and those looking for a slower more grounding practice.

Water Flow

This steady-paced vinyasa/flow class is for students of all levels in a non-heated room. This class offers a breath-linked series of postures that move fluidly between smoothly flowing postures and longer-held postures. Options will be offered for beginners and advanced students looking to challenge and expand their practice.

Gentle Earth

Move deeper, move slower, move mindfully into yoga. This class offers a gentle and strengthening approach to traditional yoga asana. Each class will incorporate breath work, mindful movement and yoga postures. This class is perfect for those who are returning to practice after healing from an injury, beginners, students with physical limitations, advance practitioners or seekers of a more calming focused practice. This practice begins standing and ends seated on the ground. Gentle Earth Yoga will challenge and improve your flexibility, mobility, balance and endurance.

Level: All-levels / Beginner / Injury Recovery

🔥 Fire Flow Vinyasa + Yin

This 60-minute class combines a powerful heated vinyasa flow with the surrendering practice of yin yoga. This first part of class is designed to build heat, energize and challenge you in an infrared heated environment. The remaining portion of class draws you into restoration, contemplation and stillness using passive, gentle posture held for several minutes at a time to restore the body in a gentle way leading to a place of balance.

Yin

In this all-levels class you will restore the body in a gentle practice where postures are passively held for several minutes. Yin is an opportunity to turn your focus inward and slowly open the body. It is a gentle practice where flexibility is not required, but it can also be intense in that the postures are held for longer periods of time to generate both physical and emotional tension release. You will feel connected, open, stretched, energetically softened, more present, and relieved of deep tension.

🔥 FIRE FLOW

If you have an Intermediate practice you will enjoy this class! This is your class to feel energized while building heat within the body. This powerful flow will take place in an infrared heated room. We will move at a faster pace through a creative sequence of postures linking one breath to one movement.

Restorative

Restorative yoga is the gentlest of the practices. This class will consist of only a handful of postures, all of which are supported by props that allow you to completely relax and rest. This will be an opportunity to receive the posture and feel the breath. Rest and stillness open the doors wide for our breath to fully arrive.
